Happy New Year!
Looking forward to 2017 we are excited to carry on our 6 month residency at the Barbican with Barbican Blocks, continue our work building a treehouse for Grasshoppers Nursery, and start fitting out the new co-working space; Creekside. We are also delighted to be working with Practice Architecture to fabricate a new learning space and facilities at the workers co-operative Organiclea.
2016 was an amazing year for Co-DB and we hope 2017 will be even better.
Here are some of our high lights from 2016:
We are particularly proud of our sign in lights for Temperance Hospital and we are honored to have won The Temporary category (from a shortlist of 126 projects!) in the New London Awards 2016, for our work creating their co-working space.

We collaborated with Welling School students to make a library for their reception area. 15 students from across school years impressively designed and built a library for all the wonderful publications that they make. We ran a workshop at the Childrens Art School for 30 kids, in which they had a go at being planners, architects, and builders in London. In July, we hosted Stitching [PLACE to PAGE] as part of the London Festival of Architecture, in which participants made a collaborative book that explored the physical and virtual spaces that exists between communities.
Director James Sale, continued his 4th year of teaching at The Bartlett, working with students in the first year of their Architecture BA. He was also honoured to have been invited to be a judge on the Landscape Institute Awards.
There has been exciting changes for the Co-DB team and we now have 6 permanent members of staff. Our newest member is Alex Parry who has joined us for 1 day a week. In other news we are delighted to say that Dan has just become a father, and Eva has learnt SketchUp! We also all enjoyed a great team day out at Kew Gardens and our 2nd Annual Christmas BBQ.
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you in 2017!
