This week we have been tidying up the workshop after finishing The Temperance Hospital, a large job we have been working on for the last 4 months, and it got me thinking about space.
Much of our work is designing and creating the spaces other people work in, supporting clients and end users to work out exactly what they need so that we can design and build it. And now, back in the workshop, it is time to go through this process for ourselves.
We have a series of questions I like to call the 4 “W” questions, in no particular order: Who? What? Why? Where?
Who uses the Co-DB workshop?
What is it for? What do the users use it for? What does it need to do?
Why do we need this table? Why do we use this bit of the workshop instead of that bit?
Where are we going to put all this stuff that seems to have accumulated?
We've made a start with our tool wall and the kitchen, we'll keep you updated as we go.
