Cultural & Creative
From a single piece of furniture to estate wide strategies.
We work across the cultural, creative and commercial sectors wherever learning is important. Whether it be libraries, galleries or creative studios we are well placed to bring engagement expertise and practical delivery capabilities to any built environment project.
We know what it takes to deliver great cultural & creative projects
A better understanding of the material world helps everyone make sustainable choices. We only ever use FSC approved timber and can often find ways to reuse old materials to great effect.
We always use quality control processes to ensure work reaches you at the highest standards. We are fully insured and offer a guarantee on our built work as required.
Our team is experienced, qualified and professional. We regularly undergo CPD training and benefit from our expert educational advisors who keep us up to date with the latest in pedagogical research.
We understand the fast paced nature of your work and act quickly and responsively to your needs. We only ever set realistic deadlines, so that we can always meet them.
We undertake and provide full Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all our installation work, as well as having all staff appropriately DBS checked.
We work to all budgets, big and small. As a small business we do not have huge overheads or investors. As designer- makers we know how to deliver efficiently.
Some of our latest cultural & creative projects
Co-DB was engaged by award winning housing association Poplar HARCA to create bespoke furniture to enliven and give function to this newly built community arts centre at the heart of its substantial new building scheme. Once initial phases of furniture were installed we ran a series of furniture making workshops for residents and staff to get to know each other, the new building and practice working together creating further interior elements that are used every day. The workshops were designed to build creative confidence and collaborative skills together during the early stages of their new collective venture.
